1st day: Lima


Upon your arrival reception at the airport and transfer to the selected Hotel.

Overnight at the selected hotel.


2nd: Lima/Ica


At the suitable time, transfer to the bus station.

Bus ride to Ica.

Upon your arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel in a private transport unit.

DUNE BUGGIES THROUGH THE DESERT:

You will have an excursion in dune buggies, specially designed and driven by expert pilots, through a desert surrounded by dunes from 3 to 100 meters. These vehicles will allow you to visit inaccessible places for others vehicles, in an original trip with a dose of emotion and adventure. There you will decide your route: through a plain part to enjoy a landscape of beautiful dunes or a circuit plenty of adventure and emotion going up and down some dunes.

3rd: Ica


OVERFLIGHT NAZCA LINES:
Air ticket from Aerocondor airline to overflight the Nazca Lines departing from Ica. You will take a light aircraft to flight over the Mysterious Nazca Lines which are seen only from the air, the giant geometrical and animal figures were etched on the desert sands by the Nazca people 1,500 years ago and their purpose is still a mystery.

4th: Ica/Lima


BALLESTAS ISLANDS:

Reception and private transfer to Paracas. Trip in a comfortable boat to the Ballestas Islands. During the trip you will be able to appreciate a panoramic sight of "El Candelabro". Ballestas Islands are stony formations where you can find an important marine fauna with lots of Peruvian birds. At Ballestas Islands, you will see the Peruvian penguin, an endangered species. Also, the Ballestas Islands are the haven of sea lions and others mammals. These sea lions like to be near the boats when are close to the shores of the islands. This beautiful spectacle along the shouting sea lions herd and justifies your visit. There are also a great variety of resident and migrating birds.

At a suitable time, there will be private transportation to the bus station and a bus ride to Lima. Upon arrival you will be taken to the hotel.

5th: Lima/Cusco


At the suitable time, private transportation to the airport.

Airline ticket to Cusco.

Upon arrival to Cusco, you will be met and taken to your hotel. There will be free time available to rest and get used to the altitude.
CITY TOUR AND NEIGHBORING RUINS:

City tour for 3 hours through the beautiful Cusco city and its nearby ruins. The tour will show you the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will be driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, to the underground cave and temple of Qenqo and to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca. Finally you will visit the Misminay Exhibit, Misminay is a native community of Cusco, there you will be able to appreciate their beautiful handcrafts.

6th: Cusco


BIKING AT THE SACRED VALLEY:
At 9:00 a.m., travel to Chincheros (30 minutes from Cusco). You will have a briefing, and then you will begin your adventure by bike, passing by Huaypo Lagoon, the archaeological site of Moray and, finally, the salt mines of Maras. Finishing the trip in Urubamba. After lunch you will be headed to your hotel at the Sacred Valley at about 4:00 p.m.

7th: Cusco


RIVER RAFTING IN THE SACRED VALLEY:

You will be transfered from your hotel to Urubamba River on the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where your guide will give you an introductory briefing on safety and equipment. You will raft for around 2 ½ hours in rapids class II, III, IV and V, depending on which route you select according to your expertise and the season. After lunch you will return back to Cusco.

8th day: Inca Trail


INCA TRAIL - DAY 1:

Pick up from the hotel at 4:30 a.m. and transfer to Ollantaytambo at the Sacred Valley, where you will stop aproximately 45 minutes, to pick up the porters and equipment. You will have time to visit the surroundings area of the town before making your way to kilometer 82, your starting point. A slow and short trek for acclimatization purposes towards the first stop at the Llactapata archaeological complex (2,550 meters above sea level). 30 minutes to visit this archaeological complex before continuing your walk to Wayllabama where you will camp.

Total walking time: 5:00 hours approximately.

Total number of kilometers: 12km.

Initial altitude: 2,750 meters. Final altitude: 3,000 meters.

9th day: Inca Trail


INCA TRAIL - DAY 2:

After breakfast you will begin your walk through the valley of Wallabamba. You will be able to observe the nature and ecological change of the area until you arrive to Yunca Chimpa, from where you will climb to Llulluchapampa up to 3,750 meters. From that point you will be able to appreciate the valley of Huayanay and the first pass located at 4,200 meters: Warmiwañusca, also called Dead Woman's pass. Descent and camp at the Pacaymayo sector.

Total walking hours: 8:00 hours approximately.

Total of number of kilometers: 13km.

Initial altitude 3,000 meters. Final: 3,800 meters.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

10th day: Inca Trail


INCA TRAIL - DAY 3:
This is the hardest day of the trek, with 10 hours of walking. After breakfast, ascend to Runkurakay, at 3,860 meters. Later, you will be able to visit another small complex, Sayamarca, and appreciate the valleys and snow capped mountains. Further on, you will also stop to visit the complex of Phuyupatamarca, and then descend 3 kilometers until you arrive to a place called Wiñaywayna where you will visit its complex and set the camp.

Total walking hours: 10:00 hrs.

Total number of kilometers: 15 km.

Initial altitude: 3800 meters.
Final 2650 meters.

11th day: Inca Trail/Machu Picchu


INCA TRAIL - DAY 4:
After breakfast, very early departure towards Inti Punku (Sun Gate), the entrance of the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, from here you will walk down along valleys, approximately are 2 hours of walking to enjoy to a guided visit of this magical place. The city of Machu Picchu is the department of Cusco’s most important tourist attraction. Discovered in 1911 by the American explorer, Hiram Bingham, this city is considered to be one of the most extraordinary examples of scenic architecture in the world. The Incas, using ingenious engineering techniques, were able to transport heavy stone blocks up the mountain side, and once there, they used their excellent masonry skills to produce amazingly polished stones that fit together perfectly.

Total walking hours: 2:15 hrs.

Total number of kilometers: 6 km.

Initial altitude: 2,650 meters. Final: 2,400 meters.

12th day: Machu Picchu/Cusco


SECOND DAY IN MACHU PICCHU:

Entrance fee to visit Machu Picchu ruins or to climb the Huayna Picchu peak, the great mountain behind the citadel. The guide is not included.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
At the appointed time, you will return to the station to take your train ride to Ollantaytambo station at the Sacred Valley.

Transfer from Ollanta Station in the Sacred Valley to Cusco Hotel.

Overnight at the Lodge.

Meals included: Breakfast and Buffet Lunch.

13th day: Cusco


Day at leisure to enjoy the wonders of Cusco city.

14th day: Cusco/Lima


Transfer from the hotel to the airport.

Airline ticket to Lima.

Upon your arrival reception at the airport and transfer to the selected Hotel.

LIMA CITY TOUR (COLONIAL AND MODERN):
Guided visit through Lima's Historical Center: the Plaza Mayor (Main Square), the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. You will also visit the San Francisco Convent, which has the most magnificent collection of colonial art in America. The tour will continue through the most traditional residential areas of Lima, including San Isidro, Miraflores and LarcoMar, a shopping center of international thematic attractions which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

15th day: Lima / Home
